Mr. Thomas Bott is the owner of Thomas E. Bott and Associates Inc., a private casemanagement and rehabilitation counseling company that provides rehabilitation servicesto injured and disabled individuals. Mr. Bott holds a bachelor's degree in psychologyand a master's of science degree in rehabilitation counseling, both from the Universityof Wisconsin, Milwaukee. In addition, he is a doctoral candidate working toward aPh.D. in health psychology through Capella University, an accredited institution basedin Minneapolis, MN. As well, Mr. Bott is a board Certified Rehabilitation Counselor,a board Certified Case Manager, a board certified Medicare Set-Aside Consultant anda Certified Medicare Secondary Payer Professional. Mr. Bott is licensed to practicerehabilitation counseling in the State of Louisiana.

Mr. Bott has 30 years of experience in private rehabilitation counseling practice. He hassteadily worked in the field of rehabilitation counseling since 1975. He entered privaterehabilitation counseling in 1981 and in 1988; he founded Thomas E. Bott and AssociatesInc. Prior to entering his own practice, from 1983 to 1988, Mr. Bott was employed bya nationwide risk management and rehabilitation company achieving the position ofbranch manager. While in that position, he acquired substantial supervisory and businessmanagement training and experience that has helped him with the operations of hispresent-day company.

Mr. Bott has a proven track record providing high quality rehabilitation counselingservices to disabled persons as well as serving as a consultant and expert witness incases undergoing litigation. He has extensive experience working with both plaintiff anddefense in worker's compensation matters and in personal injury matters. In addition, hehas had extensive experience as a vocational expert witness in Social Security Disabilityproceedings. Mr. Bott also has training in the preparation of Life Care Plans andMedicare Set-Aside Allocations.

Mr. Bott is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionalsand the Louisiana Association of Rehabilitation Professionals. He has served as a boardmember for the Louisiana Association of Rehabilitation Professionals and he is currentlyserving as a vice-chairperson for the Louisiana Licensed Professional VocationalRehabilitation Counselors Board of Examiners.

Jeanne Duplechain Tarver

Ms Tarver earned a Bachelor of General Studies from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and a Master's of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Counselor Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Ms Tarver has been employed with Thomas E Bott & Associates for 10 years and provides medical case management and vocational rehabilitation case management services for injured workers throughout Louisiana  

In January 2006, Ms Tarver attended the MediPro Seminar program by the University of Florida where she successfully completed the Medicare Set-Aside Allocation program. Ms Tarver hold an additional credential of Medicare Set-Aside Consultant-Certified, which allows her to perform Medicare Set Aside Allocations

Ms Tarver is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and she is currently the Membership Chair and Acadiana Representative for the local chapter, Louisiana Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (LARP)

Stony Drake Landry

Stony Landry earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology from the University of Southwestern Louisiana and a Master's of Science Degree in Rehabilitation Counselor Education from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette.

He is a fully licensed and certified Rehabilitation Counselor in Louisiana and has been employed with Thomas E. Bott & Associates for ten years as a vocational rehabilitation consultant.  Stony provides vocational rehabilitation case services to various private insurance companies in the worker's compensation arena in all regions of the state of Louisiana. He has provided expert testimony before the Worker's Compensation Court, Third Circuit, as well as Judicial District Court in Sabine Parish, State of Louisiana. He is a Licensed Rehabilitation Counselor Supervisor and provides guidance and supervision to other counselors.

Stony is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and the state affiliate, Louisiana Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (LARP). Stony currently serves the LARP Board as President for 2011-2012.  Stony is a Certified Medicare Set-Aside Consultant and he is certified with the United States Department of Labor/OWCP to provide vocational rehabilitation services.

Brienne B. Frey

Brienne Frey earned her Bachelor of General Studies degree with a concentration in pre-counseling in 2002 from the University of New Orleans, as well as, a Master's of Health Sciences degree in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2004 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, School of Allied Health Professions. 

She is a fully licensed and certified Rehabilitation Counselor in the state of Louisiana. She has been employed with Thomas E. Bott & Associates since May of 2004 as a vocational rehabilitation counselor. Brienne provides medical case management and vocational rehabilitation services to disabled persons who have been injured on the job or have otherwise sustained physical or mental disabilities. 

Also, Brienne is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and the state affiliate, Louisiana Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (LARP).  She is currently serving her second term on the LARP Board of Directors as Member-at-Large. Brienne has also contirbuted to educating Rehabilitation Counseling students at LSUHSC in the Fall of 2010 in a new course on Private Rehabilitation along with two other colleagues in the profession.

Mary Jane Soprano

Mary Jane Soprano earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Louisiana State University, as well as a Masters of Health Sciences degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center.

Mary Jane is a licensed rehabilitation counselor in the state of Louisiana, as well as a certified rehabilitation counselor. She provides vocational rehabilitation and medical case management services throughout the state of Louisiana to individuals who have sustained physical and/or mental disabilities due to a work injury.  Mary Jane has experience working with individuals involved in the State of Louisiana Worker's Compensation system, and has been employed with Thomas E. Bott & Associates since 2008.

Karen Zito

is our office manager/marketing person. She is the first employee hired and has been with us since October of 1992. However, she has had more than 13 years of work experience in the claims office of a large insurance company. She has a very thorough knowledge of claims handling but also completely and expertly understands the process of vocational rehabilitation and case management.  This places her in a unique position to be able to be accurately advise claims adjusters or attorneys regarding their case management and vocational rehabilitation needs on the claims that they are handling. Her main responsibilities are to develop and maintain our accounts and to consult with claim adjusters and attorneys with regard to case for assignments.  She does her marketing work both locally and also travels to other cities from time to time to visit with our accounts.  Additionally, she attends all major conferences that pertain to claims. Additionally, she handles all accounts receivable and accounts payable.  Furthermore, she maintains case count of active caseloads of our counselors and assigns new files according to active case loads.

Kevin Hurstell

Was hired in January of 2005 and works in our job development department.  His main function is to research suitably appropriate job leads for the various injured workers that we are handling for job placement.  He is highly skilled in use of the personal computer and conducting effective Internet research.  In addition, Kevin sometimes assists counselors in other functions such as on site job analysis. As well, he schedules the monthly job development research activities for the department. Kevin holds a bachelor's degree in psychology.
