Dr. Thomas Bott is the owner of Thomas E. Bott and Associates Inc., a private case management and rehabilitation counseling company that provides rehabilitation services to injured and disabled individuals. Dr. Bott holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a master's of science degree in rehabilitation counseling, both from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee. In addition, he has recently earned a Ph.D. in health psychology through Capella University, an accredited institution based in Minneapolis, MN. As well, Dr. Bott is a board Certified Rehabilitation Counselor and a board Certified Case Manager. Mr. Bott is licensed to practice rehabilitation counseling in the State of Louisiana. He is also a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC).

Dr. Bott has 35 years of experience in private rehabilitation counseling practice. He has steadily worked in the field of private rehabilitation counseling since 1980. He entered private rehabilitation counseling in 1980 and in 1988; he founded Thomas E. Bott and Associates Inc. Prior to entering his own practice, from 1983 to 1988, Dr. Bott was employed by a nationwide risk management and rehabilitation company achieving the position of branch manager. While in that position, he acquired substantial supervisory and business management training and experience that has helped him with the operations of his present-day company.

Dr. Bott has a proven track record providing high quality rehabilitation counseling services to disabled persons as well as serving as a consultant and expert witness in cases undergoing litigation. He has extensive experience working with both plaintiff and defense in worker's compensation and in personal injury matters. In addition, he is frequently called upon to serve as a vocational expert witness for the Social Security Administration Office of Disability Adjudication and Review appeals proceedings.

Dr. Bott is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals and the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals-Louisiana, He has served as a board member for the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals-Louisiana and he is currently serving as a vice-chairperson for the Louisiana Licensed Professional Vocational Rehabilitation Counselors Board of Examiners. Finally, Dr. Bott serves as a pre-publication article reviewer for Rehab Pro, a professional journal for rehabilitation counselors.

Brienne B. Frey

Ms. Frey earned her Bachelor of General Studies degree with a concentration in pre-counseling in 2002 from the University of New Orleans, as well as, a Master's of Health Sciences degree in Rehabilitation Counseling in 2004 from Louisiana State University Health Sciences Center, School of Allied Health Professions.

She is a fully licensed and certified rehabilitation counselor in the state of Louisiana. She has been employed with Thomas E. Bott & Associates since May of 2004 as a licensed and certified vocational rehabilitation counselor. Ms. Frey provides case management and vocational rehabilitation services to our clients who have been injured on the job or have otherwise sustained physical or mental disabilities. She is often called upon by the Social Security Administration Office of Disability Adjudication and Review to serve as a vocational expert witness during appeals hearing procedures. 

Also, Ms. Frey is a member of the International Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (IARP) and the state affiliate, Louisiana Association of Rehabilitation Professionals (LARP). She is past-president of the IARP=LA Board of Directors as President for that organization.

Karen Zito

Ms. Zito serves as office manager and sales/marketing manager. She was the first employee hired and has been with Thomas E. Bott and Associates since October of 1992. Previous to her employment with Thomas E. Bott and Associates Inc. Ms. Zito brought with her more than 13 years of work experience in handling claims and other administrative duties of a large insurance company. She has a very thorough knowledge of claims handling and also completely and expertly understands the process of vocational rehabilitation and case management. This places her in a unique position to be able to accurately advise claims adjusters or attorneys regarding their case management and vocational rehabilitation needs. Her main responsibilities are to develop and maintain our accounts and to consult with claim adjusters and attorneys with regard to case for assignments. She does her marketing work both locally and also travels to other cities to visit with accounts. She attends most major conferences that pertain to claims.
